David Swenson's
Workshop MARCH, 24-26, 2006 (by Giuliano Vecchiè
- translation by Barbara Bonvento)
Letter to a Genuine Teacher (1st part)
On March 24th 2006 we experiences the meaning of having to
do with a genuine teacher, not only ad for the concepts taught,
but also because of the teacher himself. Everyone expressed
great satisfaction at my first enquiry about the workshop.
And yet, this was not only the result of what we have been
taught, though gorgeous with respect to our expectations,,
but especially for the modesty, the precision, the educational
skill and, above all, for his great talent in communication,
which can be summarized in one word: simplicity.
And here comes the notorious big dilemma on what a teacher
really is. We are tired of “small” people who
pretend to be “big”, and we look for modesty,
professionalism, simplicity and, above all, practical demonstration,
all things that we find in people like you. The Yoga world
should really put an end to useless quarrels and childish
competitions for the best teacher, and on how “ my teacher
is better than yours” and so on. forward>
